Hot Power Sculpt Yoga:  Our signature class designed by Nighean Hardie, founder of Twisted Yoga, for students who have a regular practice, is a challenging workout, working 100% of the body, and is specifically developed to tone and build lean muscle mass and increase your balance and flexibility. This class will help you gain cardiovascular fitness, stamina and flexibility while realigning your skeletal system. Performed to upbeat music to help you get out of your mind and in tune with your body. Be prepared to work hard and sweat buckets! Beginners welcome, although come ready to be challenged.

 

Hot Vinyasa Flow:  An invigorating, stamina-building, yet steady flow that will inspire total body connection and ease of motion. Beginners will be led gently and advanced enthusiasts will be given opportunities to deepen their practice. Each class includes gentle flow sequences as well as time to "be" in some of the poses. Focus and attention to proper alignment during flow is taught. Conscious breathing and awareness of energy is encouraged, expanding your yoga experience and having fun, while maintaining a motivating style of class.

 

Hot Yoga:  This class is open to all ages and levels of experience and will incorporate classic Hatha Yoga postures, with a focus on  correct alignment, along with some flowing sequences and breath work to relax the body and de-stress the mind. These classes will help you understand and work with your own body to develop strength and flexibility. Each class will generally form part of a course enabling you to delve deeper into some of the fundamental teachings of yoga too. 

 

Hot Mat Men:  A sequence of postures specifically put together to benefit men. Concentrating on strengthening and defining the core, arms and shoulders, stretching out the hamstrings and opening the hips. In Mat Men there is a sense of camaraderie within the class as we all work together to build our strength and fitness levels.

 

Hot Hatha Flow: This class is well suited to beginners as well as those who are keen to focus on the fundamentals, as it incorporates traditional Hatha Yoga into a flowing sequence linking breath and movement and gives you a foundation to understand the proper alignment of postures and breathing techniques. Benefits you will receive will be increased flexibility and quietening of the mind as you stretch and strengthen your body. On Fridays there is Chai tea afterwards.

 

Hot Vinyasa Yoga to Open, Strengthen & Balance:  Restore your mind and remember who you are. This class will consist of gentle opening poses for the shoulders, hips and back, awakening and warming the body. We will investigate the connections to the ground, the spine, the breath and their various sensations through creative, flowing sequences. Cultivating inner and outer strength as we work on flexibility and mobility and thus creating a greater sense of ease and well-being. The class will end with a deep guided meditation/Savasana.

 

Sunset/Candle Lit Flow:  This class is a gentle Hatha Yoga flow practiced as the sun goes down/in candlelight. You will receive the benefits of increased flexibility and quieting of the mind as you stretch and strengthen your body, finishing the class with a 10 minute relaxation. And to end the perfect end to a busy week? A delicious Chai latte after class!

 

Hot Hatha Helix: This class is a challenging workout for all students looking to develop their practice further, working 100% of the body-mind. It is specifically developed to tone and build lean muscle mass and increase your balance, flexibility and stamina. The practice will help you gain cardiovascular fitness, promote realignment of the skeletal system, boost immunity and detoxify the body’s organs and glands. You will finish the session feeling thoroughly relaxed and invigorated. 

 

Hot Yoga for Core Strength:  For many, the secret to moving into a more advanced practice is developing a stronger core and this class is packed full of postures that will tighten your torso, trim belly fat, and create eye-popping abs. 

 

Hot Hatha Flow Total Beginners: This is a class focussing on the fundamentals, and it incorporates traditional Hatha Yoga into some flowing sequences linking breath and movement and gives you a foundation to understand the proper alignment of postures and breathing techniques. Benefits you will receive will be increased flexibility and quietening of the mind as you stretch and strengthen your body. Level: Total beginners or those who have very limited experience.

 

Gentle Yoga Flow (Donation/Charity based class) - This class is open to the Twisted Yoga community and beyond. Run for people who otherwise may not have a chance to practice, this class is the price of a small donation to local charity, Noah's Ark Childrens Hospice.

There will be a 10 minute Yoga Nidra (relaxation) at the end of the class, with a gentle head and neck massage to finish. All levels welcome.
